If you can't get the Windows Media Player Plugin to work in Firefox or Firefox portable then here's how you can easily set it up.
This mainly effects Vista and Windows 7 users since even if you have Windows Media Player installed it still won't work in Firefox.
For normal Firefox users you need to go to this site and download the plugin:
http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx
Once installed restart Firefox and then you should be able to use Windows Media Player Plugin on sites like our station sites. There may be the odd one or two sites that you can't use it with since it's possible for developers to only allow Internet Explorer to use it... I don't really see the point but that's their choice.
For anyone that uses Firefox Portable it's a tad harder. If you have Firefox installed as well then you just need to copy np-mswmp.dll from C:/Program Files/ Mozilla Firefox/plugins to FirefoxPortableAppFirefoxplugins and then restart Firefox Portable. This will then make it work.
If like myself you don't actually have normal Firefox installed then the best bet is to get a friend to email you the file from their PC.
This should solve your problems. If you still have problem in the address bar of Firefox type this... about:plugins and then search for the Windows Media Player plugin, if it appears then it's installed correctly, if not then something went wrong while installing and your best to go through the process again.
